Astratec introduces new software platform

Astratec has invested in a compleet make-over of their current software platform to be ready for the latest plasma cutting machines.

Since 199 ensures Astratec for innovation and expertise in terms of mechanical engineering and welding and cutting applications. A perfect combination of insight, education, creativity and technique leads every time to efficient realisations for clients with a view to quality, safety and well-being. This allows Astratec to keep up-to-date with the latest developments to create future proof solutions. An example hereof is the software. Cutting parameters, cutting time, durability of wear parts,… everything is followed up precisely and automatically allowing the cutting process to be simplified and improved.

• The internal software platform was updated to TwinCAT 3.0.
• The controller is ready for the latest Q plasma source of Kjellberg and Hypertherm. Both use the same EtherCAT-bus as controller.
• The latest software will be installed on all plasma cutter series (SMART, HS, M and XG).
• Cutting parameters, cutting time, durability of wear parts, … everything is followed up precisely and automatically allowing the cutting process to be simplified and improved.
• Automatic creation of formulas from the cutting table of the plasma manufacturer.
• Automatic restart in the midst of the nesting after a crash… (tilting of part, empty gas cylinder,..)
